HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 2018-182RESOLUTION NO. 2018-182 A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A PURCHASE AND SALE AGREEMENT AND ESCROW INSTRUCTIONS WITH BRADLEY WOMBLE AND LARRY LERTORA FOR ZO5 EAST LODI AVENUE WHEREAS, the City of Lodi is a public agency located in the County of San Joaquin, State of California; and WHEREAS, the City Council directed staff to begin the process of selling the property at 705 East Lodi Avenue designated as the old Fire Station No. 2, which included a legal process of bidding; and WHEREAS, the initial bid came in under the appraised value and was rejected, and bidding was re-opened; and WHEREAS, a bid in excess of the appraised value was received, and the property is being sold "as is" for $415,000 to the highest bidders, Bradley Womble and Larry Lertora who operate a rubber products business in Stockton and are moving the operation to Lodi. NOW, THEREFORE, BE lT RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council does hereby authorize the City Manager to execute a purchase and sale agreement and escrow instructions with Bradley Womble and Larry Lertora for $415,000 for the purchase of real property at 705 East LodiAvenue and such documents as necessary to complete the sale.
