HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Report - April 19, 2000 E-16AGENDA TITLE: Request for Proposals to Provide Instrumentation Maintenance Services for the
City of Lodi's White Slough Water Pollution Control Facility.
MEETING DATE: April 19, 2000
PREPARED BY: Public Works Director
RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council authorize advertising for proposals for the above
project.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: A Request for Proposal (RFP) to provide instrumentation
maintenance services is being pursued to enhance the quality of
maintenance to the instrumentation at White Slough. The
instrumentation is currently maintained on an as -needed basis by
City staff and outside contractors. The environment this equipment is subjected to mandates a need to
improve on this method. The amount of devices and technology involved has increased the need for more
attention to maintain accuracy and dependability, which is needed for the additional monitoring required in
our recently approved discharge permit. Staff time will be freed up to address a backlog of electrical
maintenance elsewhere in the Public Works Department.
FUNDING: The money for this project will be coming from the White Slough Operations and
Maintenance account.
Project Estimate: $9,500
Planned Bid Opening Date: May 4, 2000
