AGENDA TITLE: Award Contract to Provide Security Services at the Lodi Station and Lodi Station
Parking Structure ($123,150)

RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council adopt the attached resolution awarding the contract
for the above project to Windwalker Security Patrol, of Thornton, in the
amount of $123,150.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Security at Lodi Station and the parking structure (currently in the
design phase) is required to maintain the safety of facilities, buses,
contract employees, and patrons. Security will be provided from
7 p.m. to 5 a.m., seven days per week, with a guard performing
security sweeps on an hourly basis by punching a portable clock at different locations.
Specifications for this project were approved on April 5, 2000. The City received the following five bids
for this project:

RESOLUTION NO. 2000-99
A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL
AWARDING THE CONTRACT TO PROVIDE SECURITY
SERVICES AT THE LODI STATION AND LODI STATION
PARKING STRUCTURE
WHEREAS, in answer to notice duly published in accordance with law and the
order of this City Council, sealed bids were received and publicly opened on May 5, 2000,
at 2:00 p.m. to provide Security Services at the Lodi Station and Lodi Station Parking
Structure, described in the specifications, therefore approved by the City Council on April
5, 2000; and
WHEREAS, said bids have been compared, checked, and tabulated and a report
thereof filed with the City Manager as follows:

WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends award of the three-year contract to
provide Security Services at the Lodi Station and Lodi Station Parking Structure to the low
bidder, Windwalker Security Patrol of Thornton, California.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Lodi City Council that the award of
the bid to provide Security Services at the Lodi Station and Lodi Station Parking Structure
be and the same is hereby awarded to the low bidder, Windwalker Security Patrol of
Thornton, California.
