AGENDA TITLE: Set Public Hearing for July 19, 2000, to Consider Lodi Station Parking Structure Project
MEETING DATE: July 5, 2000
PREPARED BY: Public Works Director
RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council set a public hearing for its next regularly
scheduled meeting of July 19, 2000, to consider the Lodi Station
Parking Structure Project.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The Federal Transit Administration, co -funder of the parking structure,
requires a public hearing as part of the public participation process.
To date, two public meetings and a Shirtsieeve Session have been
held to discuss the parking structure. Many of the changes to the
design of the project have come from the public's input, including the Lodi Historical Society, on the project.
The City of Lodi's Public Works and Community Development departments, and the Federal Transit
Administration, all concur that the parking structure will have no adverse impacts on the historical
Lodi Arch. The Sacramento Street facade design has been modified to address the Council's concerns
raised at the Shirtsleeve Session.
FUNDING: Not applicable.
