BACKGROUND INFORMATION: City Council directed the City Clerk to post for vacancies on the Personnel Board of Review on December 6, 2017, and February 21, 2018, and for the Lodi Improvement Committee on January 17, 2018, and April 4, 2018. The Mayor reviewed the applications, conducted interviews, and recommends that the City Council concur with the appointments as detailed below. Due to a change in bylaws approved by City Council on May 16, 2018, by Resolution No. 2018-89, two new vacancies exist on the Lodi Improvement Committee; staff recommends posting for the vacancies as detailed below, for a period of 30 days. Government Code Section 54970 et seq. requires that the City Clerk post for vacancies to allow citizens interested in serving to submit an application. The LIC meets at 6:00 p.m. on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at the Carnegie Forum, 305 W. Pine Street, and consists of 7 members, each serving 3 -year terms.
