HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 2018-85RESOLUTION NO. 2018-85 A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT A DONATION OF CASH FROM THE LODI POL¡CE PARTNERS' FOUNDATION FOR THE PURCHASE OF A VEHICLE; DESIGNATING DISPOSITION OF FUNDS; AND FURTHER APPRORIATING FUNDS WHEREAS, the Lodi Police Partners' Foundation, a California non-profit corporation, desires to donate the sum of $26,567.36 to the City for the purchase of a 2019 Ford Transit Connect for use in the Partners' Program; and WHEREAS, the donated vehicles are integral to the Partners' Program and staff acknowledges the financial commitment the Foundation has made to the success of the Program; and WHEREAS, per Resolution No. 2015-54, when vehicles in the Partners' Program are retired from the City's vehicle fleet, the proceeds from the sale or auction thereof are returned to the Lodi Police Partners' Foundation, or alternatively, title to the retired vehicle is transferred to the Lodi Police Partners' Foundation, to facilitate the Foundation's continued financial support of the Lodi Police Partners' Program. NOW, THEREFORE, BE lT RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council does hereby authorize the City Manager to accept the above-described cash donation from the Lodi Police Partners' Foundation in the amount of $26,567.36 for the purchase of a 2019 Ford Transit Connect for use in the Partners' Program; and BE lT FURTHER RESOLVED that the donation in the amount of $26,567.36 be appropriated to account 40300000.57702 Vehicle Replacement Fund Donations and these funds be made available for the vehicle purchase from account 40399100.77040 Vehicle Replacement Fund; and BE lT FURTHER RESOLVED that per Resolution No. 2015-54, when the vehicle purchased with the above-mentioned funds is retired from the City's vehicle fleet, the proceeds from the sale or auction thereof will be returned to the Lodi Police Partners' Foundation, or alternatively, title to the retired vehicle will be transferred to the Lodi Police Partners' Foundation, to facilitate the Foundation's continued financial support of the Lodi Police Partners' Program. 3::"i=J1t=]!:3911======================================================== I hereby certify that Resolution No. 2018-85 was passed and adopted by the Lodi City Council in a regular meeting held May 16,2018, by the following vote: AYES: NOES: ABSENT: ABSTAIN COUNCIL MEMBERS - Chandler, Johnson, Kuehne, Mounce, and Mayor Nakanishi COUNCIL MEMBERS - None COUNCIL MEMBERS - None COUNCIL MEMBERS - None r frn ü^*ã4 IFE 2018-85 ity Clerk FERRAIOLO
