HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 2018-73RESOLUTION NO. 2018-73 A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A LEASE OF PROPERTY AGREEMENT WITH UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD COMPANY FOR THE TRANSIT STATION SECURITY FENCING PROJECT, AND OTHER RELATED DOCUMENTS WHEREAS, plans and specifications for the Transit Station Security Fencing Project were approved on July 19, 2017, and the contract was awarded to Diede Construction, Inc., of Woodbridge, in the amount of $296,329, on November 1, 2017; and WHEREAS, the proposed security fencing location lies approximately two feet within the Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) right-of-way; and WHEREAS, staff recommends that City Council authorize the City Manager to execute a Lease of Property agreement with Union Pacific Railroad Company for the Transit Station Security Fencing Project; and WHEREAS, staff also recommends that City Council authorize the City Manager to execute all documents related to the Transit Station Security Fencing Project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council does hereby authorize the City Manager to execute a Lease of Property agreement with Union Pacific Railroad Company for the Transit Station Security Fencing Project; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council does hereby authorize the City Manager to execute all documents related to the Transit Station Security Fencing Project.
