HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Report - February 16, 2000 E-12CITY OF LODI COUNCIL COMMUNICATION AGENDA TITLE: Authorization To Disband The Information Technology Committee MEETING DATE: February 16, 2000 PREPARED BY: City Clerk RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council authorize, by motion action, the disbanding of the Information Technology Committee. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: On August 12, 1999, the Information Technology Committee (ITC) unanimously voted to recommend to the City Council the disbanding of ITC. In addition, the ITC further voted to postpone any future monthly meetings until receiving direction from the City Council. The ITC has reached its original task of putting Lodi onto the Internet, and has since acted as a support role to the City in the area of information technology. It is, therefore, recommended that the City Council concur with the committee's recommendation and authorize the disbanding of the ITC. FUNDING: AMR/)mp None required. Alice M. On behalf of the Lodi City Council and the citizens of this community, may I express our sincere appreciation to you for your dedicated service as a member of the Information Technology Committee. It is truly gratifying to see citizens so willing to give their time toward the betterment and enrichment of their community. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Lodi hereby authorizes the disbanding of the Information Technology Committee.
