BACKGROUND INFORMATION: This project was awarded to TTS Construction Corporation, of Lodi, on June 15, 2016, in the amount of $148,702. The contract has been completed in substantial conformance with the specifications approved by City Council on April 20, 2016. Completed work is shown in Exhibit A. This project consisted of replacing three existing, vertical turbine pumps and motors that were installed in 1983 and were worn out. The project completion date was June 7, 2017 and the final contract price is $197,675.62. The difference between the contract amount and the final contract price is due to Change Order No. 1 ($48,973.62) which included replacing the proposed three 40 horsepower (HP) motors with three 50 HP motors to provide the power needed to pump stormwater containing large amounts of debris collected in the pump station service area. Staff chose to retain the three 40 HP motors originally furnished by the contractor, for use on the Vinewood Pump Station Pump Replacement Project scheduled to start construction this summer. The contractor has provided a two-year warranty bond to the City. Following acceptance by the City Council, as required by law, the City Engineer will file a Notice of Completion with the County Recorder's office. The notice serves to notify vendors and subcontractors that the project is complete and begins their 30 -day period to file a stop notice requiring the City to withhold payments from the prime contractor in the event of a payment dispute. FISCAL IMPACT: This project will decrease maintenance cost and flooding risk by increasing reliability. FUNDING AVAILABLE: Wastewater Capital Fund (53199000.77020). CkQ Charles E.
