AGENDA TITLE: Improvement Agreement Addendum for Bridgetowne, Unit No. 2, Tract No. 2863
MEETING DATE: February 2, 2000
PREPARED BY: Public Works Director
RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council approve the improvement agreement addendum for
the Bridgetowne, Unit No. 2 development, and direct the City Manager
and City Clerk to execute the addendum on behalf of the City.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The final map and improvement agreement for the Bridgetowne,
Unit No. 2 development were approved by the Council on
June 2, 1999. The subdivision is located north of Turner Road
and west of the Bridgetowne, Unit No. 1 development, as shown
on Exhibit A.
The approved plans for the project included street improvements along the Turner Road frontage,
including removal and replacement of temporary pavement at the Turner Road/Bridgetowne Drive
intersection. In order to expedite the completion of the City's Turner Road street widening and
reconstruction project and preserve the structural integrity of the street section, a portion of the
Turner Road work to be done with the Bridgetowne development was included in the larger street
project. The street widening and reconstruction work was completed as part of the Towne Ranch, Unit
No. 7 project. The City reimbursed the developer of that project for the work along the Bridgetowne
frontage. The addendum to the improvement agreement for the Bridgetowne project provides for
reimbursement to the City for the cost of that work ($27,741.50).
FUNDING: Developer funds.
