AGENDA TITLE: Adopt Resolution Authorizing City Manager to Execute and Deliver All Documents
Related to Funding Agreement for the White Slough Water Pollution Control
Facility Storage Expansion Project
MEETING DATE: April 20, 2016
PREPARED BY: Interim Public Works Director
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
Adopt resolution authorizing City Manager to execute and deliver all
documents related to Funding Agreement for the White Slough
Water Pollution Control Facility Storage Expansion Project.
On May 6, 2015, Council adopted Resolution 2015-51 (Exhibit A)
approving a Prop 84 grant funding request for the White Slough
Water Pollution Control Facility (WSWPCF) Storage Expansion
Project.
In October 2015, the City was conditionally awarded a grant in the amount of $4.6 million by the
California Department of Water Resources (DWR) and work has been proceeding to prepare the
necessary documentation to execute the funding agreement with DWR.
While Resolution 2015-51 approved the submittal of the Prop 84 grant request, DWR determined the
resolution did not contain language specifically authorizing the City Manager to execute the funding
agreement.
Staff recommends adopting resolution authorizing City Manager to execute and deliver all documents
related to Funding Agreement for the White Slough Water Pollution Control Facility Storage Expansion
Project.
FISCAL IMPACT: If execution of the funding agreement is not authorized, the conditional
grant approval will be withdrawn.
FUNDING AVAILABLE: Not applicable.
