HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 2017-180RESOLUTION NO. 2017 -180 A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI C¡TY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENTWITH EUROFINS ANALYTICAL, INC., OF MONROVIA, FOR LABORATORY SERV¡CES FOR UNREGULATED CONTAMINANT RULE 4 TESTING REQUIREMENTS == = = = = == ==== === == === = == === = == == = == == === === = = == == Ë= ===== === = = = == == == == == = WHEREAS, the Unregulated Contaminant Rule 4 provides the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and other interested parties with scientific data on the occurrence of contaminants in drinking water used in developing regulatory decisions; and WHEREAS, the City of Lodi is considered a large public water system required to participate and pay for its own testing costs to include a monitoring timeframe of one consecutive 14-month period; and WHEREAS, staff recommends utilizing Eurofins Analytical, lnc., an EPA-approved laboratory for testing, with sampling beginning in March 2018; and WHEREAS, staff also recommends authorizing the City Manager to execute a Professional Services Agreement with Eurofins Analytical, lnc., of Monrovía, for Unregulated Contaminant Rule 4 testing requirements, in an amount not to exceed $50,000. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council does hereby authorize the City Manager to execute a Professional Services Agreement with Eurofins Analytical, lnc., of Monrovia, California, for Unregulated Contaminant Rule 4 testing requirements, in an amount not to exceed $50,000.
