HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 2017-165RESOLUTION NO. 2017 -165 A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING A VEH¡CLE REPLACEMENT PURCHASE AND FURTHER APPROPRIATING FUNDS ======================================================================== WHEREAS, the Police Department's 2015 Ford Police lnterceptor Utility Vehicle (05-032) is a complete loss after being involved in an on-duty vehicle collision, which was determined to be the other party's fault; and WHEREAS, the City settled with the other party's insurance for the value of the vehicle, tax, and 94,OB8.3O for the transfer of emergency equipment totaling $28,024.31; and WHEREAS, staff requests that the City Council authorize the replacement of the 2015 Ford lnterceptor wittr a 2017 Ford Police lnterceptor Utility Vehicle from Folsom Lake Ford, a State of California contract dealer for government vehicles, in the amount of $33,008.27, plus an additional g4,0gg.30 for transfer of èmergency and electronic equipment through Lehr Auto, for a total vehicle replacement cost of $37,096.57; and WHEREAS, the 99,072.26 gap in insurance reimbursement and replacement cost will be paid from the vehicle replacement funds appropriated during the 2017118 budgeting process. NOW, THEREFORE, BE tT RESOLVED that the Lodi city council does hereby authorize the replacement of the totaled 2015 Ford lnterceptor with a 2017 Ford Police lnterceptor Utility Vehicle from Folsom Lake Ford, a State of California contract dealer for gou"rnr"nt vehicles, in the amount of $33,008.27, plus an additional $4,088.30 for transfer of ãr"rg"n.y and electronic equipment through Lehr Auto, for a total vehicle replacement cost of $37,096.57; and BE lT FURTHER RESOLVED that funds in the amount of $28,024'31 be appropriated for the vehicle purchase as shown as follows: lnsurance Reimbursement $28,024.31 (40300000.55020 - Revenue) Vehicle Replacement Fund 928,024.31 (403991 00.77040 - Expense) 3::"==:"ji:g-:jiri]!-==================================================== I hereby certify that Resolution No. 2017-165 was passed and adopted by the Lodi City Council in a regular meeting held September 6, 2017, by the following vote: AyES: COUNCIL MEMBERS - Chandler, Johnson, Mounce, Nakanishi, and Mayor Kuehne NOES: COUNCIL MEMBERS - None ABSENT: COUNCIL MEMBERS - None ABSTAIN: COUNCIL MEMBERS - None IFE 2017-165 Clerk
