HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Report - December 1, 1999 E-06OF ♦_, o� COUNCIL COMMUNICATION nt �v 4<�FOR� AGENDA TITLE: Accept Improvements Under Contract for Destruction of Eight Water Wells, East Lodi Avenue MEETING DATE: December 1, 1999 PREPARED BY: Public Works Director RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council accept the improvements under the "Destruction of Eight Water Wells, East Lodi Avenue" contract and direct the City Engineer to file a Notice of Completion with the County Recorder's office. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The project was awarded to Clark Well, Inc., of Stockton, on July 21, 1999, in the amount of $20,500.00. The contract has been completed in substantial conformance with the plans and specifications approved by the City Council. The contract completion date was November 12, 1999, and the actual completion date was October 28, 1999. The final contract price was $16,332.50. The difference between the contract amount and the final contract price is mainly due to the wells requiring less concrete for abandonment than estimated.
