HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Report - October 20, 1999 E-04CITY OF LODI COUNCIL COMMUNICATION AGENDA TITLE: Acceptance of Improvements Under Contract for Type II Polymer Modified Slurry Seal, Various City Streets, 1999 MEETING DATE: October 20, 1999 PREPARED BY: Public Works Director RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council accept the improvements under Type II Polymer Modified Slurry Seal, Various City Streets, 1999 contract, and direct the City Engineer to file a Notice of Completion with the County Recorder's office. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The project was awarded to Valley Slurry Seal Company of West Sacramento on September 1, 1999, in the amount of $61,640.57 for 1,189,977 square feet of application. The contract has been completed in substantial conformance with the specifications approved by the City Council. The contract completion date was September 26, 1999. The final contract price was $69,700.55. The difference between the contract amount and the final contract price was due to additional slurry seal work done. The slurry seal project covered a total of 1,345,575 square feet. There are sufficient funds in the current operating budget to cover this increase. FUNDING: As determined at contract award.
