HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Report - October 6, 1999 E-09AGENDA TITLE: Amend Traffic Resolution to Adopt Angle Parking on Walnut Street between Church Street and Sacramento Street MEETING DATE: October 6, 1999 PREPARED BY: Public Works Director RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council adopt the attached resolution amending Section 4 of the Traffic Resolution 97-148 by approving angle parking on Walnut Street, between Church and Sacramento streets (Exhibit A). BACKGROUND INFORMATION: With the construction of the Multimodal Station, the bus transit center on the north side of Walnut Street, east of School Street, will be relocated to the Station. Once the bus stop is removed, staff recommends installing angle parking in this area as well as on the south side of Walnut Street west of School Street. It is anticipated the Multimodal Station will open in November. An additional twenty-one (21) parking spaces will be provided with these modifications.
