Invest funds to the amount of $5000.00, and belt further
RESOLVED, That the City Treasurer be instructed and he is
hereby directed to subscribe for and purchase for and Ir the name of
the City of Lodi, U.S.Government bonds of the second issue known as
"LIBERTY BGIvDS" to the value of $5000.00, said bonds to be the kind
known as coupon bonds.
Trustee Keeney moved, seconded by Trustee Black, the adoption
of the resolution as read which motion was carried by the follorsing
vote:
Ayes: Trustees hale, Black, Folendorf and Keeney.
tioes: Done.
Absent: Trustee Deaver.
Upon motion of Trustee Keeney, seconded by Trustee Black,
the City Treasurer was instructed to take the necessary steps to con—
vert the City's $5000 first issue 32 Liberty Bonds into the '+�� bonds
when the proper time conies.
Labor claims amounting to 457+.75 were allowed and ordered
paid.

Ir_ regular session of the Board of Trustees of the City of
Lodi there were present Trustees ,Hale, Black, Keeney and Folendorf.
Trustee Deaver absent.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.

ling for :. C. Bewley on lot 9, block 2, Larson's Addition.
The report of City Ya.rshal for the month of October was read
and referred to the Finance Co—mmitte?.
The report of City Plur._bing Inspector for the month of October
was read and ordered filed.
A petition signed by B. 3enric{son and twenty—six others pro—
testing against the building of a Holy Roller Church in the Barnhart
Tract was read and ordered filed.
Upon ?potion of Trustee Black, seconded by Trustee Foler_dorf,
the resigra.tion of tanager. Ferguson of the Municipal Baths was accepted.
Trustee Black TMoved, seconded by Trustee Keeney, thhat ?ins. Dora
Stanfield be appointed Manager of the Municipal Baths, which motion was
Garri-�d unanimously.
City Attornay Steele suggested that an ordinance should be er—
acted regulating the blocking of crossings by railroad trains. The City
Attorney was instructed to prepare, and submit such an ordinance.
Wr_ 3. Faust reported for the Board of Health that an Inspect—
ion of back yards and alleys disclosed that garbage is allowed to ac—
curulate in various DI -aces and that the City Scavenger is not attend—
ing faithfully to `-As duties; also that many garbage receptacles do
not comply with the law.
Yiscellaneous claims against the city amounting to $*'+9'+.3i
Frere ailowed and ordered paid.
Upon motlon the Board adjourned to meet again 'Londay, November
12th, at 8:CC p. m.
