This regular meeting* of the Board of Trustees of the
City of Lodi was called to order by the President at 8.05 P.M.
Trustees Hale, settler, Poach, Shaituck and Spooner present,
none absent.
- The minutes of the re=-ular meeting of November iOtil. ,
1925 were read, approved as red and so endorsed by the Pres-
ident.
No persons appearing at this time, the order of public
hearings and protests Bras passed by unanimous consent.
A.E.Gordon applied by letter for the installation
of 220 volt electric service at his new building in process of
erection at #7 N. School Street and installation of this service
was ordered.
The Clerk read an application of Securit- Building
and Loan Association for grater and light service a 4548 South
Sacramento Streat, premises liable for bills in the amount of
$109.70 incurred by John & Lydia Boss. As applicant had acq-
uired title thro=h foreclosure of a deed or trust, the Ciiy
Attorney advised that witholding service in an endeavor to make
the present owner liable for past bills would be futile, the
Clem was ordered to charge oaf the above amount on his records
and receive the application for service.
In the matter of the purchase of accounting machinery
for the .rater and light department under call for bids dated
November 20th, there bein but oneproposal received, that of
Burroughs :adding Lachine Company, the Board rejected all bids
and decided to purchase in the open market by the -passage of
Resolution No. 486 by the following, vote:-
AYE,S: Trustees, Hale, Shattuck,Yettler,Roach,Spooner.
NOES: Trustees, bone. ABSENT: Trustees, None.
No further action was taken in the matterof the adopt-
ion o` Ordinance No.151, -ranting Southern Pacific and Central
Pacific Companies a franchise for spur tracks on Plain Street.
The Clerk was directed to cancel the policy of Yary-
land Casulty Coan covering volunteer firemen and enter into
a similar policy-withm~State Compensation Insurance Fund.
Ordinance No.152, An Odinance Licensing All Finds of
Business in the City of Lodi vias discussed at '_en�th but as
none of the proponents of such an ordinance were in attendance,
final passage was deferred until a later date.
The report of the City Y'.arshal for the month of ?ovem-
'her was received, ream and ordered filed.
The Board then proceeded to consider annual purchase
&Freements for meters, lams and transformers and on recoT...II'.end-
ation of Superintendent J. A. HennirG, the following motions
were made and unanimously concurred In: -
(1) On motion of Trustee Shattuck, seconded by Trustee
Le -tier, the President ���as authorized to S* a sales agreement
with General Electric Company for the purchase of Mazda lamps.
(2) On motion of Trustee Hale, Seconded by Trustee
Shattuck the President :,as authorized to sign a sales agreement
with General Electric Company for the purchase of transformers.
(3) On motion o Trustee ShaUtuck,seconded by Trustee
Hale, the President was authorized to sign a sales a�-reement
with A.F.Blecksmith as District Sales Agent of Duncan Electric
Company for the purchase of watt hour meters.
Bills, including semi-monthly payrolls,in the amount
of $9479.32 were allowed as audited on motion of Trustee Yettler,
seconded by Trustee Shattuck
