The Lodi Business Men's Association addressed a letter to
the Board in regard to their claim, for 9:'248.75 not allowed on
november 6th. after lengthy discussion, the Clerk was instructed
to notify the association that they should make formal application
for their usual advertising allowance and then the claim would be
re cons i dered.
UITFINiISHED BUSI'NESS:
Ordinance No. 136 entitled, "AN ORDII;ANCZ ORDEPING, CALL-
ING AND PR(,-XIDING FOR, _01D GIVING NOTICE OF A SPECIAL ELECTION TO
BE =1 D IN THE CITY OF LODI, CALIFORNIA, ON TUESDAY, THE 19th DAY
OF DEC -l"9 R, 1922, FOR TYE, PURPOSE OF SUBMITTING TO TIE QUALIFIED
VOTERS OF SAID CITY, TIM, PROPOSIT IC11 TO INCUR A BCNDED INDEBTEDNESS
BY Si!D CITY FOR TIM, ACQUISITION, CCITSTRUCTICITI, AND COIFIETION OF
A CERTAIN 17UNICIPAL I,11PRO'y-Aa;NT" was introduced and read in full.
On motion of Trustee Hickok, seconded by Trustee Yettler, and un-
animously carried, the said Ordinance No. 136 was ordered laid over
for not less than five days.
This being the date set by advertisement duly published
for the reception of bids for the bonds issued upon the security
of the un -aid assessments for the irm_rovement of Hilborn Street as
undertaken under Resolution of Intention No. 43, on publicly open-
ing and declaring the bids received, the bonds, aggregating 27457.70
were awarded "The Wellington Steacy Con:pany", the sole bidder at
par, accrued interest and `142.30 by the passage of Resolution of
Award '-,,To. 352 by the following vote:
AVIS: Trustees Hale, %.ettler, Hickok, Spooner, Shattuck,
NOES: None
This being also the duly advertised date for the reception
of bids for bonds issued upon the security of the unpaid assess-
ments for the improvement of Tokay Street as undertaken under Re-
solution of Intention No. 45, on publicly opening and declaring
the bids received, the bonds aggregating '?18,543.50 were awarded
"Becl:man, 71'elch & Thompson Co." the sole bidders at par, accrued
interest and $56.50 by the passage of Resolution of Award No. 353
by the following vote:
AYES: Mettler, Hickok. Spooner, Hale, Shattuck.
DOES: None.
This day being the date set by the Clerk in duly publish-
ed notice for the hearing of -protests against the issuance of
bonds on the security of the unpaid assessments on Rose Street
under Resolution of Intention No. 56 and no protests having been
filed up to the hour of 8 o'clock P.M., the Board proceeded to
provide for the issuance of the said bonds by the passage of Re-
solution No. 354, providing for and describing the bonds by the
Io3-�lowing vote:

XfEES: Trustees Spooner, Hickok, Yale, Mettler, Shattuck.
This day being the date set for the hearing of rrotests
against the issuance of bends on the security of the unpaid ass-
essments on Locust Street under Resolution of Intention No. 55
and no protests having been received up to the hour of 8 o'clock
P.1., the Board proceeded to provide for the issuance of the said
bonds by the passage of Resolution No. 355, providing for and des-
cribing the bonds by the following vote:
AYES: Spooner,Hickok, Hale, Ifettler, Shattuck.
This being the date set for the hearing of protests against
the issuance of bonds on the security of the unpaid assessments on
Oak Street under Resolution of Intention No. 54, and no protests
having been received up to the hour of 8 o'clock P.M., the Board
proceeded to provide for the issuance of said bonds by the passage
of Resolution No. 356, providing for and describing the bonds,by
the following vote:
AYES:
Spooner, Hickok, Hale, Mettler, Shattuck.
