SOLVED, that whereas the Board of Trustees of the
Aty of Lodi, did on the 22nd day of September. A. D. 1919, pass its
Resolution of Intention No. 26, to order the hereinafter described work
to ':e done and ifiprovemeTC; to be made in said City, rAhich resolution of
Intention was duly and legally publisaed as required by law , as appears
from he affidavit of pi--blication in Tll3 LORI SFETTIETEST. made by C. E.

FISOLIVED, that the public interest and convenience
require the work herein :escribed and the Board of Trustees of the
City of Lodi hereby order the following mrk to bf done and improvement

That South School Street, in said j
City, from the South line of Oak
Street to the North line of Walnut
Street, and from the south line of
Walnut Street to the North line of
Lodi Avenue, and from the South line
of Lodi Avenue to the City Limits on
the South,
BE IMPROVED:
(1) By grading the curb and gutter
spaces and the roadway between the
gutter lines. - -
(:l) By paving the roadway be-
tween- the gutter lines with a pave-
ment consisting of one and one-half
(1%) inches of Warrenite Wearing
Surface. laid on an asphaltic concrete
base three (3) inches in thickness.
(3) By constructing hydraulic con- ;
Crete curbs and gutters of the com-
bined type, on each side of the pave-
. ment.
Ezceotin„ however, from all of the hereinabove de-
scribed arork, such portion as is repaired by law to be kept in order
or repair by any person or company having railroad tracks thereon; and
excepting also from all of the hereinabove described work any of said
work already done to the official grade.
All of said work shell be done in accordance with the
plans and soeeifications heretofore alopted for doing said work and
now on file in the office of the City Merk. a-nd where certain work
proposed to be done on the respective s eets, avenues and highways
aforementioned is described as be in c betyeen certain lines. it includes

the doing of all wach work upon the street intersections end terminations
between such lines, unless otherwise shown on the plans; providing,
hoverer, that any duplication in such description shall be ignored.
Attention is also called to the Warrenite license
lixture agreement for California, execi:ted by Marren Brothers Company,
on the _� day of :S. D. 191 . the owner and
holder of the patents and processes covering the said Warrenite pavement,
which a,ree: ent is on file in the office of the City Clerk, and is
hereby expressly referred to for greater certainty.

improvement, chargeable upon a district, which district said Board

directed to publish three times a notice inviting such proposals, and

a triaweekly newspaper published and circulated in said City of Lodi.

B3SOLVBD, that the Diagram prepared and submitted by L. F. Barzellotti,
City Engineer, shoring the District affected and benefitted by the im-
provement of, and to be assessed for the cost and expenses of the
improvement, ( as, -:.described in Resolution of Intention No. 22 of the
Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi, passed vrnc 2nd, 1919, ) of
Sacramento Street, be shad the same is hereby approved, and the City
Clerk is hereby directed to endorse said approval on said Diagram, and
deliver the same to the 5uperinte-adcnt of Streets.

Messrs. HeiSsner, Thompson. and _,orerz stated they desired to
excavate for a basement on South School Straet and asked the Board If
the City Could use the dirt, stat ins they mould share in tre expense.

The Superintendent of streets was irstri;eted to notify the
owner of property or. the east sid e z)r '.,Lin street , at oak, that the
buildi occupied by Cosmopolitan Hotel extends 3 feet 3 inches into
the street anal should be charged to conform to the street lines.
