,ESGLUTION NO. 427
Resclution ordering work under resolution of intention No.61
RESCLUED: That whereas the Board of Trustees and City Council
of the City of Lodi,San Joaquin County California, did on the 18th
day of June 1923 pass its Resolution of Intention No,54, to order
the hereinai`ter described work to be done and improvement to be done

and, as requiredyby said --Resolution of Intention, as appears from
the affidavits on file with the City Clerk of said Cityy,.a*d the
said Board of Trustees and City Council having accuired Jurisdict-
mon to order said work to be done, now thereiore,i�, is hereby -
RESOLVED: That she City of Lodi and the said Board of Trustees
and City Council hereby orders the following work to be done and
imDrove,ent made in said Cit y to -wit:
That a public street shall be opened between the north line
of Lockeford Street, in said City, and the south line of Deist'y
Avenue, in said City,said street to be sixty feet in width and to
lie thirty feet upon each side of a certain line which is des-
cribed as that art of the west line of Section i, Townshiat 3
NorthI Range 6 East, '.D.B. .,1yi between the said south line
of Daisy Avenue and the said North line of Lockeford Street the
line so described being the center line oft.e street so to die opened.
Except* that part of said sig, foot strip of land which
lies within the right of ay of thein Joaquin and Sierra Nevada
?Railroad, being the railway line running from Lodi to ;:'codbridge
in the County of San Joaquin.
The land necessary to be taken therefore is particularly bound-
ed and described as follows, to -wit: -
That certain strip of land sixty feet in width bounded on the
south by the north line of Lockeford Street, on the north by the
south line of Daisy Avenue and lying thirty feet on each sine of the
center line of said street so to be opened, as above described,
except that part of said land lying within said railroad right of
way. -
The exterior boundaries of the district of lands to be affect-
ed and benefitted by said cork and improvement and to be assessed
to pap the damages,cost, and expenses t''aereof are as follows:
A-1 that certain district and lands lying within the corporate
limits of the City ofLoai, County of San Joaoain, State of taif-
ornia, and particularly described as follows:-
Co=encsng for the same at the center line of Lincoln Avenue
with the south line of "'orrest Avenue,(formerl ,doodbridge Avenue),
and running thence south on and alor� said center line and its
poutherlyy production totheintersection of said of with
she north line of Lockeford Street; thence ;,estarl on and along
the north line of Lockeford Street to its intersecTion with the
-:rest boundary of the corporate limits of said City;thence north on
and along said boundary line to its intersection with the south
line of Forrest Avenue; thence east on and along said south line
of Forrest Avenue to the point of beginning.
'Provided nevertheless that the railway line, and railway right-
of-7ray,streets,avenues and alleys situated within said district
shall be omitted from any assess::.ent made or levied to pay the dam. -
cost and expenses of -he above-mentioned work and improve -
the said streets,avenues and alleys belorpEir2, to said Cit

RESOLVED: That Walter E. Taylor, ll,7.Bird and C,R.Van Busk-
irk, residents and citizens of said City of Lodi San Joaquin
County, California, be and they are hereby appointed the three
co7aissioners to assess benefits and damages and have general
su-oervision of the �Dr000sed work and improvement, untii the con-
_.letion thereof in compliance with the statute; and that each
Qf said corimissioners shall file with the clerk of said Board and
tftyy Council an affidavit, and a bo nd to the State of California,
in �`�he sum of Five Thousand Dollars to faithfully perform the
duties of his office.
Adopted this 15th day of October, 1923 by the following
vote: -
AYES: Trustees, male,Hickok,Liettler,Spooner,Shattuck.
