The Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi convened in adjourned regular session pursuant
to adjournment of Sep. lb, 1907, President G. E. Lawrence presiding and the following
Trustees being present: J. M. Blodgett and F. O. Hale.
Absent: C. A. Rich and L. Villinger.
The Minutes of the meeting of Sep. 16, 1907 were read and approved as read.
Several Applications for Licenses recommended by the Carnival Committee were read
and referred to Clerk.
R. H. Naylor, a cripple, asked for a permit to sell peanuts and popcorn during the
Carnival.
The following resolution was then introduced and read:
"Resolved: That Mr. R. H. Naylor, being a cripple, is hereby granted a permit under the
provisions of Subdivision 44 of Section 1 of Ordinance No. 2, Ordinance of the City of
Lodi, to sell peanuts, pap -corn, and chewing gum within the limits of the City of Lodi
without the payment of the usual License rate. Said Permit to run to Sep. 30, 1907.
Done in adjourned regular session of the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi this 18`''
day of Sep., 1907.

It was then regularly moved and seconded that the foregoing resolution be adopted,
which motion was carried by the following vote:
Ayes: J. M. Blodgett, F. O. Hale, and G. E. Lawrence.
Noes; None. Absent C. A. Rich and L. Villinger.
It was moved, seconded and carried that if any one person of Escalon or Calaveras
exhibits objected to Ross' Stand being in front of their exhibits, then the Marshal shall
have Ross' stand removed from in front of such exhibits.
J. M. Blodgett, as a member of the Fire Plug Committee reported that of the two plugs
recently put in, the plug at the corner of Main and Oak Streets had not been connected up.
Moved, seconded and carried that the Board adjourn to meet on Monday evening, Sep.
23, 1907.
