Pursuant to adjoutnment taken from .the meeting of September 4th.* the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi met in adjourned regu.l.ar session at, 7.30 p,li. , Trustees Bale, Hickok, Liettler,Spooner and Shattuck present, the latter presiding. In consultation with Lir Clyde 2. Smith, the Board took up the matter of the appointment of an atter_dent at the ser.age disposal plant; after careful consideration of the applications received, 11r Fred W. Post was enploypd as day engineer at a salary of $150.00 e' iclt-r =©r Ii_'�ti per month, house7and :eater free. On motion.of Trustee Mettler, the Board adjourned to 8 o'clock P.M. of Tuesday September 11th., 1923. Pursuant to adjournment regularly taken from the adjourned regular session of September llth.,1923, the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi met in adjourned regular session at 8 o'clock P. -M.- on the day and date and at the place first above written ; all members answering present at roll call; J.W.Shattuck presiding. This being the date set by notice duly mailed, published and posted as shown by affidavits of the Clerk and the Publisher of the Lodi News, for the reception of protests against the work &c in the matter of the improvement of Hutchins -Walnut Street under Resolution of Intention No. 61 and the clerk reporting no protests; the Board laid over the matter of the approvel of the work and the assessment therefore on motion of Trustee Spooner as it appeared from several verbal, informal protests that there were a few matters requiring correction in the curb and gutters. The assessment diagram for the improvement of Washing ton Street, Resolution of Intention No. 63, was approved and adopted by the pas- t minutes of Sept 11 cont) 1 sage of Resolution No. 415 by the follcwing vote AYES: Trustees, hale,Hickok,Mettler,Spooner,Shattuck NOES: Trustees, None ABSENT: Trustees NONE. (A full and true copy of said Resolution No. 415 is attached to and filed with said diagram in the files of the proceedings under said Resolution of Intention in the office of the City Clerk) No further business appearing, the Board adjourned to 7.30 o'clock P.M. of September 12th on motion of Trustee Mettler. (5zCity Clerk, City Hall, City of Lodi dedens,'Lay, September 12, 1923 Pursuant to adjourrrent from the preceeding day, the Board of Trustees net at 7.30 P.M. in regular adjourned session, all members present; Trustee Shattuck presiding.- The residing.The Board proceded to the consideration of the tax rate for the ensuing year and after estimating bulk expenditures from C tax income sources, fixed the rate at $1.70 per hundred by the passage of Ordinance No. 142, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE LEVYING L TAXES IN THE TEAR 1923 IN PROVISION OF REVENUE FOR TIE FISCAL YEAR BEGI'7111ING JULY 1st;, 1924", Said ordinance was approved, passed and adopted by the follcving vote: - AYES: Trustees, Suooner,':ickok,Mettler,S'rattuck. NOES: Trastees, done. ABSENT: Trustees, None, In the matter of the approval of the work and the assess- ment therefore on Hutchins-TUalnut Street, Resolution of Intention No. 61: It appearing that such matters as needed remedy had been properly attended to, the assessTL-ent was approved and the war- rant allowed the contractor by the passage of Resolution No. 416 as filed in the office of the City Clerk,'by the following vote:- AYES: Tr:stees, ale,settler,Hickok,Spooner,Shattuck: 4 _ NOES: Trustees, None.
