Monday, September 11, 1922,
the regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of
Lodi was called to order at o o'clock P.M. on the date first above
�.ritten, Pres. J. Shattuck presiding, On call of the roll,
Trustees rale, Hickok, Lettler, Spooner and Shattuckwere present.
Phe minutes of the regular meeting of--ugust 28th and the
regular meeting (adjourned on account of no quorur_�) of September 4,
were read and approved without correction.

Eldridge Rathbun protested against the open trench of the
Sacramento Gas company on S. Sacramento Street. Pres. J.tii.Shattuck
informed "r. Rathbun that this ratter would be taken un with the
Gas Company at once.
It appearing that due public ----tion had been had of the no-
tice inviting sealed proposals for the improvement of :Mora Street
under Resolution of Intention No. 60, the Board proceeded to pub-
licly open and declare the bids received thereunder, but one bid
being received, that of Clark-Henery Construction Co.
Award of the contract for the improvement of Flora Street
cas then made to Clark & Henery Construction Co, by the passage of '
Resolution of Award Nc. 315 by the following vote:
AYES: Spooner, Lettler, Hale, Hickok, Shattuck
1OBS: None, ABEENT: None
On motion of Trustee Hale, seconded by Trustee Hickok and
duly carried, the Clerkwas instructed to arrange for a contract be-
tween J. A. Nicholson of Room 16, Bacon Building, Oakland, and the
Superintendent of Streets,for making street improvecient assessments.
The Board decided to go as a body on the morning of the
following Yiedr-esday and view the proposed donation of the continua-
tion of Redwood Street in return for the payment of the street assess-
ments that might be levied against it for improving Stockton Ave,
Rev. A. A. Boschee asked that a drinking fountain be install-
ed by the City at the new Salem Evangelical Church, Elm & Central Sts,
The Board decided that it could not do so but would furnish
water free.
The Clerkread a communication from County Engineer F. E.
Quail stating that San Joaquin County would pay one-half of the
construction of approaches to Cordier & Rose Streets at Sargent Rd.
The marshal's report for August was read and ordered filed_
The Clerkread the official call for the annual convention
of the League of California Municipalities at Palo Alto, On motion
of Trustee Spooner, the Clerk was delegated to attend the convention
with President J. W. Shattuck as alternate. City Engineer Barzellotti
was also allowed credentials as a delegate,

On resolution duly read and carried, the "Yap of Hutchins
Homestead Addition" was adopted by the following vote:
AYs,S: trustees Spooner, Hale,Yettler, Hickok, Shattuck
NOES: ticne ABSENT: None.
Due publication of Ordinance No, 133 in the matter of the
application of Oentral California Traction Company for a spur track }
on Seaton nve. was determined by the -,assage of Resolution No. 316
by the following vote:
AYES: Hickok, Hale,tiettler, Spooner,Shattuck.

On motion of Trustee Hale, bills audited were allowed and
ordered paid.
