This regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Citi of Lodi was called to order b the President at 8.15 o'cock P.M. on the above written date, all members present. ad 'opined The minutes of he regu ar meeting of August 30th., were read, approved as read and so endorsed by the President. C.H.Sengstacken on behalf of Lodi Woman's Club applied for permission to string incandesent li-hts from the To ay Arch to Lee Avenue alo the center of �ine Street also re- �uesting that the City�urniso the necessary current during thhe time that the Woman's Club Street Fair was in progress. Permission granted. In the matter of the purchase of 12 inch concrete pipe for the storm drain to carry flood craters from the alley between. Sacramento and School Street to the3unction of Oak. amd Hutchins Street:- Proposals'were received from Fred Spiek- erman and from W.H. Graham & Company both bidding 39¢ per foot less 10% for pipe delivered trench side. On motion of Trustee Shattuck., seconded by Trustee Roach and unanimously car- ried Resolution No. 503 rejecting all bids and deciding to purchase the materials in the open market was adopted. Repports of the City Marshal and Pounchaster for the month of August were received, read and ordered filed. Mr L.F.Barzellotti as delegate to the Convention of the League of California Municipalities at Yosemite, Calif. resented a complete report of the major activities of the onventi.on. A communication from the Pacific Coast Building Off- icials Conference setting forth their progress in the format- ion of a uniform building code was read and on motion of Trustee Shattuck seconded byy Trustee Roach'the Clerk was instructed to take out an active membership on behalf of the City and forward a contribution of $50.00 toward the expenses of making up a uniform code. This being the date set by the City Clerk for hearing of protests against the assessment levied to pay the costs and expenses of the improvement of portions of Main.Stockton, Lockeford and Washington Streets as undertakenpmrsuant to Resolution No. 70 and against the assessment for Pine Street levied under Resolution of Intention No. 71, the Clerk report- ed no protests. The assessment for Main, Stocktom. Lockeford and Wash- irgtcn Streets was approved by the passage of Resolution No. 78-G by the following vote:- AYES: Trustees, Shattuck, Wei.he, Hale, Roach & Spooner. NGET S: Trustees None. ABSENT: Trustees, None. The assessment for Pine Street was approved by the pass- age of Resolution No. 71-G by the followizx�.� vote•- AYES: Trustees .Hale, -7eihe Roach,Shattuck & Spooner. NOES: Trustees, None. USENT: Trustees, None., ORDINANCE NO. 155 " AN ORDINANCE LEVYING TAXES IN THE YEAR 1926 FROV'IDING REVENUE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1st., 1927" was introduced for passage on motion of Trustee Hale Seconded by Trustee Weihe and unanimously passed, adopted and ordered to print. Bills in the amount of $11,884.73 as apptoved by the finance committee were ordered paid on motion of Trustee Hale, seconded by Trustee Shattuck. On motion of Trustee 'Neihe, t e Board adjourned.
