Monday, August 21, 1922.
The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees was called to
order at 6 o'clock P.1'., on the day above written. Trustees Hale,
1ettler, Spooner and Shattuck present. trustee Hickok absent.
The minutesof the adjourned regular meeting of August 14th
were read and approved without correction.
A petition from the Central California fraction Company pray-
ing for a spur track along the viest sidewalk space of Seaton Avenue
was presented,and in accordance therewith, Ordinance No. 133 was in-
troduced and laid over for not less than five days.
Trustee Hale then introduced Resolution No. 307, "A Resolu-
tion Fixing 'rime and Place for Hearing Application and Directing
Publication 2hereof," and the same vas passed by the following vote:
AYES: hale, Mettler, Spooner, Shattuck.
1110ES: None. ABSENT: Hickok.
Monyukis again applied for a license to conduct a card
room at No. 6 3. Locust Street. bir.G. E. Lawrence spoke in favor
of granting the same, and onmotion duly put and carried, the license
was ordered issued.
Ed. Spiekerman applied for and was granted permission to
install a 120 gallon gasoline tank at his cement yard on South Sac-
ramento Street.
Me matter of grading and paving the alley between Locust and
Elm Streets -.e!3t of Lee Avenue, was left un to interested property
a'Aners, it being suggested that gravel or oil macadam surface be
used.
2he following assessment dip -grams were approved:
Central Ave. by the passage of Resolution No. 312
Hilborn Street by the passage of Resolution No. 311
Tokay Street by the passage of Resolution No. 310
Daisy Ave. by the passage of Resolution No. 309
All the above resolutions were passed by the assenting votes
of all members present.
City Engineer Barzellotti reported verbally as to the estim-
ates prepared by him for the storm sewer system on Stockton .4'Te. &
Keztleman Lane. At the suggestion of the Clerk, he was directed to
furnish the clerk a written report.
Labor claims, (pay -rolls) were ordered paid amounting to

The Board then adjourned on motion of trustee Hale until 8
P.1-1. an -Ionday, August 28, 1922.
