August 17,1921
This being the date set on adjournment taken August 15th, the
Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi met in adjourned regular session
at 8 d"clock 2.17. and on call of the roll, Trustees 1,1ontgomerY, Crose,
Hickok and Richwerepresent; Trustee Hale absent.
The minutes of the regular meeting of -lugust Ist and the adj-
ourned regular meeting -of Au;t-,st 2nd were read and approved.
TJn_is being the date set for the hearing of protests against the
improvement of those certain streets or portions of streets described
in Resolutions of Intention Numbers 33, 34, 35, 56, 37,and 38 and no
written protests having been filed. with the city clerk as by law pro-
vided, the Board proceeded to adopt the following "Resolutions Ordering
the Work" by the votes shown i=edi&tely following same:

lowing vote:

It appearing that an error had been made in the printing of Res-
olution of Intention 11o.37 and in the notices costed in accorcance
with the same, Trustee Rich introduced Resolution 11o. 172., rescind-
ing Resolution of Intention No.37 and the same was adopted by the fol-
lowing vote:
Ayes, Trustees, Rich, Hickok, Crose anf ontgomery.
Iioes, Trustees, None Absent, Trustee, Hale.
Resolution of Intention No. 39 relating to the improvement of
Oak Street and taking the place of rescinded Resolution of Intention
i.o.37 was then introduced and passed by the following vote: -
Ayes, Trustees, Rich, Crose, Hickok and I_ontgomery.

In the matter of the abandonment of a certain alley in the Brier,„
& Keeney Addition, prayed for by Jacob Gatzert&�`�he board proceeded �:E�'
with the abandonment proceedings by the passage of Resolution I+o.
173 , declaring it the intention of the board to abandon the alley
particurlarly described therein and directing the Superintendent of
Streets to post the proper and legal notices therefore, by the fol-
lowing vote: -
Ayes, Trustees, Crose Rich, Hickok and Lontgomery.
Does, Trustees, None Absent, Trustee, Hale.
The board was notified by the Superintendent of Streets and the
City Engineer that certain platforms_ erected by the -Anderson Fruit
Company at their shed on the corner of 1:ain and Walnut Streets,
encroached upon the sidewalk s,ace. .hese platforms being wooden
structures, easily removed and not cumbering any space that would
be used for side talks were allowed to remain at the pleasure of the
board.
sn application from F.Green for the position of deputy marshal
was received and ordered filed.
Eight building permits for buildings at an estimated cost of
N11,950 were granted.
In the matter of the permissions and restrictions asked by 1,rs.
Thirza Y..Cole: the board authorized the Sunerintendent of Streets
to purchase and erect two signs, one on the corner of Locust and
School Streets, the other at the corner of Lockeford and School
bearing the legend "Hospital, Quiet Zone" or words of similar import.
1.-rs Cole to be informed by the City Clerk that she might erect and
maintain at her can expense a sign or signs setting apart a reason-
able space at the curb opposite the rain door of the hospital as
"No Parking Space"
Through Superintendent Henning, Theodore Davis applied for ex-
tension of dater service to -his premises on Daisy _venue and the same
cas. allowed and the Superintendent directed to mate connection.
No further business a-rpearing, the Board adjourned at the order
of t e Presiaent to meet at 8 o'clock P.L. on 1-onday August 22,1921.
