BE IT RESOLVED, By the City Council of the City of Lodi as follows: That the rap of "GE1W..D TRACT" be, and the. Same hereby is, approved. — Upon motion of Trusted Black, s?donded by Trustee Deavpr,thp t above resolution. Blas adopted by the following vote: Ayes- Trustees j Black, Deaver and Fole-dorf. A letter from the Railroad Commission addressed to the City Fn_pineer requested the City authcritles to advise the Corrlesion what the City proposes to do regarding suggestiois made May 12th in the matter of grade crossings and the closing of certain struts. Upon motion the Clerk was instructed to write the Cor ds;sion that the Board of Trustees was opposed to the closing of these streets and was convinced that public generally would d'iscour_teranee the closing of any of the streets to avoid railroad grade crossings in the City of Lodi. Upon motion the City Attorr.ey'waas requested to take u, the matter of the suggestions of the Railroad Conr.ission regarding grade crossings with the Chamber Of Co_,.erce at its meeting Tuesday, Aug- ust 9t,: Trustee Deaver -moved, seconded by Trustee Black, that the prop- osition Of the Studebaker Bros.
