The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the
City of Lodi was called to order at 8 o'clock P.M. by Pres-
ident J.1,7.3battuck on the above date; Trustees Hale.Hickok,
kettler and Shattuck present; Trustee Spooner absent.
The minutes of the adjourned meeting of July 23rd were
read and approved.
't1.H.Thompson of the Board,of Library Trustees present-
ed an estimate of expenses for the coming year.
J.S.Yontgomery of a committee from the Lodi District
Chamber of Commerce, asked that the Board set aside the sum
of approximately X2,000 for promotion purposes.
Monthly reports of the Poundmaster,City marshal and
;ire Chief were read and ordered files as were the Quarterly
Reports of the Clerk & Treasurer.
The application of R.M.Channell for leave of absence
was granted but without pay.
It appearing that there was a deficiency in the Street
Assessment,Bond due.to delinquent assessments for 1922, the
Treasurer eras instructed to transfer the amount of 1740.67 to
the said fund from the General _-und on warrant by the passage
of Resolution No. 410

NOBS: Trustees, None ABSENT: Trustee, Spooner.
Assessment diagrams for the districts to be assessed
for the improverlent provided for in Resolutions of Intention
No.61 (Hutchins-.11alnut) and 62 (Stockton Avenue) were app-
roved separately by the passage of Resolutions No. 411 and
412 respectively, by the following vote:-

NOES: Trustees, Hone. ABSENT: Trustees, None.
A petition for the opening and paving of Harold St.
from Centr.al Avenue to Garfield Street was read and ordered
filed.
The report of the City Engineer as to the sufficiency
of the petitions on Central, Garfield and Maple Streets was
read, showing an excess of signed fromtage on all streets and
the same referred to committee of the whole.
