`phis regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the
City of Lodi was called to order at 8.15 o'clock P.V, on the
date and at the place first herein written; Trustees Mettler,
Roach, Shattuck and Spooner present, Trustee Hale, absent,
Kinutez of the regular meeting of July 6th. were read,
approved as read and so endorsed by the President.
Under the head of Public Hearings and Protests, the
Board listened to the verbal application of L.0.Jisler for
the contract to audit the City's books; the matter was taken
under advisement.
00,11''tiNICATIONS; a letter from the Lodi Business Yens
Association in regard to more benches at band concerts was
read in full.
The clerk read a proposal for blanket insurance on
city property and on motion of Trustee Yettler, seconded by
Trustee Shattuck, he was instructed to try and procure the
services of John :`. Hieb and J. Frank ffatson as valuation
experts
Quarterly reports of Clerk'& Treasurer were read and
ordered filed.
The sup: of $2,678.38 was ordered transferred from
General Fund to Street Assessment Bond Fund by the passage
of Resolution. No. 483 by unanimous vote, said sum represent-
ing the amounts of delinquent street assessments for the
year 1924-25.
On motion of Trustee L`ettler, City Engineer L.F.Barz-
ellotti was a. -Pointed delegate to the annual convention of
the League of Califcrnia lAnicipalities to be held at Long
Beach, California in September.
Five building permits aggregatitg $6,900 were granted.
The Clerk was directed to write H.H.Ninas at Auburn,
Calif. and advise him that, though this Board could not exe-
cute such a contract as he had with the School Board, they
would assure him that the City's portion of play ground
salaries would surely be paid.
Bills aggregating $5,040.17 as approved by the Audit-
ing Committee were allowed and ordered paid on motion of
