The Board of Trustees or the City of Lodi convened in
regula r session at a o I clock P.M., there being present Trustees
Montgomery, Hale, Hickok and Rich. Trustee Crose absent.
Minutes of the1�
previous meeting were read and approved.
In tize matter of the lmproverient of Elm Street, in Lae City
or Lodi, under Resolution of Intention No. 23, and I,,. response to
Notice Inviting Sealed Proposals published by the City Clerk, bids
were received as follows:
Clark a Henery Construction Company—
Grading ........................ at 4 .02 per square foot.
Warenite pavement complete...... at 4 .195 a V
Concrete curbs .................. at .48 linear 9
Concrete gutters ................ at .224 square
Federal Construction Company --
For grading per square foot Three Cents.
For Paving per square foot Twenty one Cents.
For gutters per square foot Twenty Cents.
For Curbs per lineal foot Forty eight Cents.
For Cut per cubic yard One Dollar Fifty Cents.
For fill per cubic yard Fifty Cents.
RX80LUTION OF AWARD.
WHEREAS, the Boura of Trustees of the City of Lodi, did,
In open session, on the 19th day of July, A.D.1920, publicly open,
examine and declare all Sealed proposals or bids for doing certain
street wcr3c In said City, under and in pursuance of the "Improve-
ment Act of 191111, the names of the streets and highways proposed
to be improved and the location and character or said proposed woric
beir.& described in the Resolution of Intention No. 28, of said
Board OIL Trustees, adopted tae 24th day of May, 1920, which reso-
lution, of intention is hereby expressly referred to for further
particulars.
RESOLVED, that the said Board of Trustees hereby reject
all said proposals or bids except that next herein mentioned, and
hereby awards the -contract for doing said work and Improvemarit to
the lowest responsible bidder, to -wit: -
CLARK A HlIaRY CONSTRUCTION COMPAN-Y, at the price named
In its bid. The City Cleric Is hereby directed to post notice of
this award conspicuously for five days, on or near the Council
Chamber door of this Board of Trustees and also publish said no-
tice three times in "The Lodi Sentinel", a tri -weekly newspaper
published and circulated In said City, and hereby designated for
that purpose by said Board, said newspaper being the official
newspaper of said City of Lodi.
Notice Is hereby given that serial bonds to represent, un-
paid assessments and to bear interest at the rate of Seven(71'11)
per centum, per annum, will be Issued here1nder In the manner pro-
vided by the "Improvement Bond Act Of 1915,9 the last Install-
ment of wr_Ich bonds shall mature Nine ( 9) years from the 2nd
day of July, next succeeding 9 -months frog -their date.

The foregoing resolution was auopted by the following,
AyeS'. Trustees Rich, Hickok, Hale and Montgomery.
Noes; None.
Absent: Trustee Crose.
Trustee Rich moved, Seconded by Trustee Hickok, that the
President of the Board be hereby Instructed and directed to ex-
ecute the annual wattmeter contract with General Xlectric Com-
par,y, which motion was adopted.
