In adjourned regular session of the 3oard of Trustees of the City of Lodi,ti�e followirg, trustees being present: C.A.31ack, F.O.Hale,G.E.Lawrence and C.A.Rich. Absent:Trustee J.M.Blodgett. President Lwvrence presiding. The rin:.tes of the neeting of June 16,1913.were read and approved. A supplemental report of Chief Stark showing a statement of insurance involved and estimated loss by fires in the city during i the nineteen months ending, June 1,1913,was read and filed. 1 A eomrurication from the President of the Berard of School Trustees,on the matter of the application of Geo.EcCann for a permit to build a carpenter shop o:: lot 1 of block 37.vias read and filed. A letter from the Woman's Improvement Club on the matter the condition in which the Gas Company leaves the streets,ridding the city of.flies,cleaning up of weeds and trimming of trees was read and filed. The following applications for building, pertrilts were read and granted: Frank Michels,barn on lot 2 block C A&P Add.; Graham & Marshal,cement shed on lots 21,23,25 block B Sub72; W.J.'Marchard.fence on lots 3&4 block 20; R.Senner,moving bldg.fr.lot 8 blk 12 to lot 20 blk 2 Burr Add.; Geo.McOann,carpenter shop on lot 1 block 37. On motion of 31aek.seconded by Rich,the President cf the card }ras a: tori ed tc s'En a contract with General Electric Company for transformers. The following resolution was introduced by Trustee Rich and read by the Clerk:, W" -=EAS the Hoard of Trustees of the City of Lodi deem it for the best interests of all concerned that a police officer be appoint- ed for said City. Be it Resolved: That it is the sense of the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi that a Police officer be appointed and the ap- pointment of such officer is hereby authorized That said officer shall hold office at the will of said Trustees and shall receive such compensation as may from time to time be fixed by said Board. The Clerk and President of said Board are hereby authorized and directed in accordance herewith to issue a commission to such person as may be appointed by this board. C.A.Rich. Nov.7,1910,be cancelled and payment stopped there- on and duplicate warrants be issued in lieu thereof; That the srr of g5987.55,the balance of Fater Fund,and the sum of $5714.64.the balance of Light Fund,be transferred to General Fund.thas ellrinating V:e Water and Light Funds.
