Public Hall,Lodi,California.June 17,1912.
In regular session of the Board of Trustees of the City
of Lodi.the following trustees being present: C.A.Black,F.O.ale,
G.E.Lawren�e and C.A.Rich. Absent: Trustee J.24.31cdgett. President
Lawrence presiding.
the minutes of the meeting of June 10,1912,were rea and
approved.
The application of Central Pacific Railway Company for a
franchise across Locust and Lockeford Streets was presented by G.F.
Buck on behalf of the Company. The application was accompanied by
a petition signed by several fruit companies asking that the franch-
ise be granted. Both application and petition were filed.
A resolution granting said franchise was introduced by
Trustee Rich and laid on the table f:r not less than five days.

petitioning for a franchise to construct.ma'_ntain an`t operate for
itself,its successors and asFigns,a steam railroad track along,over
and across Locust and Lockeford Streets in the City of Lodi,having
been presented to this Board of Trustees of said City of Lodiau at
the regular meeting of said Board of Trustees held on the 17th day
of June,1912.and a resolution of this Board granting said franchise
having tris day at this said meed ng been introduced,it is hereby
further
RESOLVED that the further hearing of said resolution be post-
poned and continued and be had before this Board at the regular
meetinZ of tris board to to held on th:: first :ay of Jt:ly,1912,at
the regular meetin ;�lac_e of said board; and it is further
RESGLITED that notice of said application: and said resolution
be printed and published in The Lodi Sentinel.a r.ewspaper,three times

day of July,1912.
On motion of Black.seconded %y Rieh,the foregoing resolut-
ion was adopted by the affirmative votes of Trustees =1ack,riale,
Lawrence and Rich.
J.M.Brentice masked to sent the citzr lot or S.Sacramento
Street. No action taken.
