'RESOLUTION OF AWARD NO.288, awarding Clark & Henery Const- ruction Company the contract to perform the work ordered on Cord- ier Street AYES: Trustees, Mettler, Hickok, Hale. NOES: Trustees, None. ABSENT: Trustees, Rich, Shattuck RESOLUTION OF AWARD NO.289, awarding Clark & Henery Const- ruction Company the contract to perform the word ordered on Rose Street AYES: Trustees, Mettler, Hickok, Hale. NOES: Trustees, None. ABSENT: Trustees, Rich, Shattuck. This being also the date set in notice duly publishedin The Lodi Sentinel, and publication thereof in time,form,manner and num- ber being proven by proper affidavit,for the reception of sealed proposals for the purchase of the bonds issued to represent the unpaid assessments in the matter of the improvement of Stockton Street under Resolution of Intention No.35 and the Clerk stating that up to the hour set therein, no such proposals had been rec- eived, the Board proceeded to award the bonds issued and authorize the delivery thereof to the contractor by the passage of Resolution' No. ,283, AYES: Trustees, Hickok, Mettler, Hale. NOES: Trustees, None. ABSENT: Trustees, Rich, Shattuck. It appearing from proper affidavits that the Superintendent of Streets had filed the list of unpaid assessments on Lockeford Street and that notice of the sane had been duly published and post- ed, the Board proceeded to find the amount of each assessment and the aggregate amount thereof unpaid to date by the -- sage of Res- elution No. 284 AYES: Hickok, Mettler, Hale NOES: None. ABSENT: Rich., Shattuck. Resolution No. 285, describing and authorizing the issue of bonds to represent the unpaid assessments on Lockeford Street was then passed, t AYES: Mettler, Hickok, Hale. NOES: None ABSENT: Rich, Shattuck. Under the head of public hearings, Mr_R.E.Mixer of the Pro- gressive Business Menlo Club, addressed the Board, asking their cooperation in having the Southern Pacific Company improve the vacant lot at the South-east corner Oak & Sacramento Streetsy he was assured that the Board would extend whatever backing that might be possible to the club in this matter. Mr Mike -?Kemp directed attention to the condition of the road - ray of S.Sacramento Street where the sprinkling wagons fill and also to the fact that the authorized lights had not been installed in Maple Square; the Street Superintendent was directed to remedy the street condition. F.J.Beaty protested against the noise of motor -cycles on Lodi Avenue and was informed -that he should swear to a complaint so that the nuisance could be abated. The President of the Board and the Clerk were authorized to enter into an agreement on behalf of the City for a pipe -line cros- sing at the Woodbridge Road crossing of the Southern Pacific lines r by the passage of Resolution No. 281, AYES: Trustees, Hickok, Mettler, Hale. NOES: 'Trustees, None. ABSENT: Trustees, Rich, Shattuck. Reports for the month of June from the Poundnaaster and City Marshal were read and ordered filed. The Clerk stating that Warrant No.13493 drawn in favor of A. Carlisle and Company had been lost in the mails, the President and Clerk were authorized to issue a duplicate, payment on the original having been stopped. On motion of Trustee Hickok, seconded by Trustee Mettler, the Clerk was authorized to sign a relaase of indebtedness in the matter of the liquidation of the affairs of H.T.Tretheway, the said release being in favor of the San Francisco Board of Trade and for the pur- -ose of allowing a_pro-rata distribution of assets. Ten building permits were granted; gross cost ,$28,.960',OO On motion Trustee,Mettler bills amounting to $11,986.11 were ordered paid.
