The following resolution was then read and int'roduce0:
RESOLVED: -that R.C.Tumielty,City Engineer of the City of,Lodi
be,a-d he hereby is,directed-to make a diagram of the property affect
ed or benefited by the proposed work or improvement as described in
Resolution of Intention No.2'and I.-. 11,e assessed tv pay the expenses
thereof. Said diagram is to be male in accordance with the provisions
of Subdivision Ten of Section 20 of the "Improvemen-, Act of 1911".
On notion of trustee Blodgett,t*ne folegoing resolution
was adopted by the affirmative votes of Trustees Black,Blodgett.

It was moved by Trustee Black,seconded by Trustee
Blodgett,that the diagram of the diStrcit to be assessed to pay the
costs and expenses of the Improvement provided for by Resolution of
Intention No.2,as prepared by Engineer Tznelty,be approved as pres-
ented,which 2dotion was carried by the affirmative votes of Trustees
B1ack,Blodgett,Lw1irence and Rich.

Public Utilities Coril.ittee submitted to the Board written
reports from Supt.Henning as follows:
Reporting that the transformer In the alley near the residence
of H.F.Ellis Is safe.and that it eras not in that location at the
time '1{rs.Zllis was reported to have received'ar. electric shock.
Recommending that no concessions be granted in the =natter of
changing the rate for rater at 207 %Pine Street.or for lights at
West & Sons' 7'inery.
The committee recommended that the report of the Supt.be
adopted as the findings of the Board,and upon motion the recommendat-
ion of the committee was adopted.
John W.McAfee,C.E.,submitted a proposition to the Beard
to act as city engineer a7 a salary of 850.01 per month,doing all
surveying,map work or other city work as the Boar^ might direct.
It was moved by 31ack,seconded by Rich,that J.W.McAfee
be employed as City Engineer a. a monthly salary of 850.00,under
a contract and bond to be executed between 11,`r.YcAfee and the City,
whic-, motion was carried by the affir-ative votes of Trustees Bla:-.�k.
Blodgett,Lawrence and Rich.
The bond of the City Engineer was fixed at 2,1000.00.
The Clerk was Instructed to notify the heads of the
different departments to neet with the Finance Committe in auditing
claims.
