the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi met in regular
session at 8.20 P.P. Trustees Hale, 'Ifettler, Roach, Shattuck
and Spooner present.
11inutes of the adjourned meeting were read, approved as
read and so endorsed by the President
Re-oorts of the Poundmaster and Fire Chief were read and
ore eyed filed.
A letter from =he Exchange Club thanking the Board for
the donation of $50.00 made Lay 19th, received and read.
After checking -*,-he plans and specifications
as submit-
ted for the new fire house, the same were adopted by the fol -
!owing :

PRC: SALS FOR CONSTRUCTION OFF A FIRE HOUSE.
RESOLM: that the plans and specifications for the con-
struction of a fire house in Vaple Square as prepared by arch-
itect J. F. Watson and by him this day submitted, be and the
same are hereby approved and adopted as the plans and specif-
ications for the erection of said building;
BE IT ALSO RESOURD: that the Clerk be authorized and he
is hereby directed to advertise in time form and manner as by
law required for the reception of sealed proposals for the con-
struction of said buildi4 the said proposals to be received
and publicly opened on YonLy, June 23rd., 1924 at 8.15 P.11.

Bills as audited, amounting $11,911'.81, were allowed and
ordered paid on motion of Trustee Mettler, seconded by Trustee
Shattuck. -
At the order of the President, none dissenting, the Clerk
was directed to write a le"Iter to 'William Baker, stating that
.he canal company objected to the City furnishing water to
their customers and advising him that he should take the matter
up Leith the company.
The bills -of" the ',llestern States Gas & Electric Company
for power at the sewage disposal plant having been dis-allow-
ed by the auditing com-mittee on reco-z.7zendation of Supt. Henning,
the Board indulged in a z-eneral discussion of the same; decid-
ing that the matter be made the subject of further correspond-
ence with the State Railroad Co--rdssion before a formal request
for hearing -:jas filed.
