On motion of Trustee Hale, Fred d. post, attendant at the
Sewage Disposal Plant was granted two weeks leave with pay from
and after June 15th; on motion of Trustee Yettler, ? .R.Channel of
the fire department :ias granted annual leave for a similar period
from and after June 16th., the fire chief to su mly a man capable
to handle a truck during, fir Charnell's absence.
The Board then proceeded to consider tentative plans for
opening of California Street, deciding to open the street so as
to take approxisatel 12 feet from the lands of Angeio Uosta and
48 feet from the lands of Mrs. 1aria Focacci, assessing the costs
on fronting property only. The City :engineer presented a'plah in
accord with -the foregoing and the City Attorney having prepared
a_Resalution of Intention, the same was react but not adopted.
Lr Will E. Filey, Supt. of Schools Lodi District, appeared
in the matter of the operation_ of play grounds, stating that the
School District could expend about $1,400.00 on account of salary
for a part time instructor to be expended during the school term;
he proposed that the City take over these activities during the
school vacation period expending about $600.00 on account of
salaries and $900.00 for equipment. The Board agreed on this
separation of management and finances and instructed the Clerk
to prepare a suitable resolution appropriating moneys for this
purpose and designating the Trustee or Trustees to be appointed
from their number to complete the organization of a Committee
on Play Grounds.

Repairs to the Tokay arch under call for bids dated
Lay 6th.,1925 were awa_ded to Joseph Dotson by the passage of
Resolution of Award No. 479 by the following vote: -
AYES: Trustees Hale, Shattuck, Settler, Roach and Spooner.

Bills amounting to $6,925.02 as approved by the auditing
coc-:mittee were allowed and ordered paid on motion of Trustee
Hale.
