Pursuant to adjournment of May 23d the Board of Trustees of
the City of Lodi convened at 7:00 o'clock p.m. There were present Trus-
tees Black, Keeney and Montgomery. Absent Trustees Hale and Crose.
Minutes of the adjourned meeting of May 23d were read and ap-
prove"'.
A. L. Levinsky, as attorney for Stella N. Fowler, having filed
a petition praying that an ordinance be enacted granting to petitioner
permission to build a spur track connecting with Central California
Traction Company's freight depot track and extending to her property
at the corner of Oak and Main str-ets in the City of Lodi, the follow-
ing resolution was introduced by Trustee Keeney:

STELLA N. FOWLER, having on the 24th. , day of May, 1918:filed
her petition with this, the Board of Trustees, of the City of Lodi, Coun-
ty of San Joaquin, State of California, praying for an ordinance grant-
ing to her, her heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, the
right, privilege and permission to construct, lay down, and maintain, a
railroad track of standard gauge, and to pass with, and operate, with
locomotives and cars, propelled by steam, electricity, or other lawful
motive bower over, along, upon and across, certain streets, portions
of streets, and other places in the City of Lodi, County of San Joaquin,
State of California, and she having at the same time and place presented
to and filed with, this, the Board of Trustees, of the City of Dodi, an
Ordinanc¢ in accordance with the prayer of her said petition, and under
and by the charter of the said City of Lodi no action can be taken on
said Ordinance, until Five (5) days shall have elapsed since the intro-
duction and filing of the Sarre;
NOW, TFEREFORE, this, the Board of Trustees of the City of
Lodi, does hereby fix Monday, the 3d day of June, 1918, at the hour of
8:00 o'clock p.m., of said day, at the chambers of this, the Board of
Trustees of the City of Lodi, in the City Fall, of the City of Lodi, as
the time and place for hearing the aforesaid Petition, and the afore-
said Ordinance.
Trustee Montgomery moved, seconded by Trustee Keeney, the adop-
tion of the above resolution as read, which motion was carried by the
following Vote:
Ayes; Trustees Montgomery, Keeney and Black.
Noes: None.
Absent; Trustees Hale and Crose.
No further business appearing the Board adjourned.
