AGENDA TITLE: Authorize City Manager to Submit State Transportation Enhancement Activities (TEA)
Applications to Caltrans

RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council adopt the attached resolution authorizing the
City Manager to submit Transportation Enhancement Activities (TEA)
Project applications to Caltrans.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The City of Lodi Public Works Department recommends submitting
two TEA applications for landscaping to Caltrans for the following
projects in order of priority:
1. Highway 99 Landscaping (Total Project Cost: $1,020,000)
This allows for improved landscaping (trees and groundcover, including
irrigation) at the freeway interchange islands at Highway 99/Tumer Road,
Highway 99/Victor Road, Highway 99/Century Boulevard/Cherokee Lane,
and Highway 99/Harney Lane.
2. Kettleman Lane Median and Embankment Landscaping (Total Project Cost: $105,000)
(from Hutchins Street to Ham Lane and underpass)
The median is being constructed as part of the Kettleman Lane (Highway 12)
and Crescent Avenue Traffic Signal/Median Project. At the underpass, we're
asking for replanting of the ice plant lost in the last freeze.
There is a possibility that these two projects may be submitted as one application.
FUNDING: Not applicable.

A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT STATE TRANSPORTATION
ENHANCEMENT ACTIVITIES (TEA) PROJECT APPLICATIONS TO
CALTRANS
BE IT RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council does hereby authorize the City
Manager to submit State Transportation Enhancement Activities (TEA) Project
Applications to Caltrans for the following projects:
Highway 99 Landscaping (Total Project Cost $1,020,000); and
2. Kettleman Lane Median and Embankment Landscaping (Total Project Cost
$105,000).
