Pursuant to adjournment of April 19th the Board of Trus-
tees of t:ie City of Lodi convened at 8 o'clock p.m. , there being
present. Trustees Montgomery, dale, Rich and H10:1co1c. Trustee Crose
absent.

RESOLUTION NO. 10�.
In the matter of the Applioation of PACIFIC FRUIT EX-
CHA, GE, I,-CORPOReiTED, a corporation, for a spur track.
Resolution Passing Ordinance to Print.
PACIFIC FRUIT EXCHANGE, INCORPORATED, a corporation
duly organized and existing under and by virtue.of the laws of
the State of California, and having Its office and principal
place of business in the city of Sacramento, County of Sacra-
mento, State of California, and transacting business in the
City of Lodi, County of San Joaquin, State of California, hav-
ing, on the 19th day of April, 1920, filed its petition with
this, the Boara of Trustees of tha City of Lodi, Couaty of San
Joaquin, State of California, praying for an Ordinance granting
to it, it3 suocessors and assigns, the right, privilege and per-
miasion to vonstruet, lay down, and maintain, a railroad track
of standard gauge, and to pass with, and operate, witli locomo-
tives and oars, propelled by steam, electricity, or other lawful
motive power, over, along, upon and across, certain streets,por-
t4or4s of streets, and other places in the City of Lodi, County of
San Joaquin, State of California, and on the 19th day of April,
1920, the said PACIFIC FRUIT EXCHANGE, INCORPORATED, a corpora-
tion, presented to, and there was filed with, this, the Board of
Trustees of the City of Lodi, an ordinarae in accordance with
the prayer of its said petition, and more than Five (_5) days hav-
ing elapsed and passed since the introduction and filing of the
aforesaid Ordinance with this, the Board of Trustees of the City
of Lodi, ana the said Ordinance, which is No. 113, having been
duly considered at this meeting of the Board of Trustees of the
City of Lodi, and it appearing to the satisfaction of this Board
of Trustees that the said PACIFIC FRUIT EXC�1l?GE, INCORPORnTZD,
a corporation, is entitled to have the said Ordina ate granted,
and that the said is just, proper and legal:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED; That the aforesaid Or-
dlnalnce No. 11.3 be, and the same hereby is.. Ordered to be pub-
lished ozwe in The Northern San Joaquin County News, a news-
paper of general circulation, printed and published semi-weekly,
In the City of Lodi, County of San Joaquin, State of California,
and that said Ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days from
and after the completion of said publication, and be signed and
approved by the President of this, the Board of Trustees of the
City of Lodi, who is the executive of said City of Lodi.

Upon motion of Trustee Hale, seconded by Trustee Rich,
the foregoing resolution was adopted by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Hale, Rich, Hickok, and Montgomery.
Noes; None.
Abse nt: Trustee Crose.
Eight applications for building permits were read,
granted and ordered filed.
The matter of the Land Amy's oaeupaney of the City Paris
raving bean continued from April 19th to this date, a large dele-
gations of Citizens ob;acting to the Land Army remaining farther
in that loaation were present. W. A. Young, W, J. Robinson, 36rs.
J.B.Waugh and others voiced their objections and City Attorney
Steele pointed out the law governing the matter. After further
discussion by the Board members President of the Board 2iontgom-
ery announced that no further action in the matter was necessary
and the action of the 3oard already taken woula have to stand.
