HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 04-23-1923d452 R' S 0 L U I 1 0 11 I,"HE-REAS, Mr. George 1.1artin Steele has served this City as city Attorney since the 21st day of April 1916 and has faith- fully rendered unto this Board and unto its predecessors in office, the full measure of his legal r2aowledge without stint or denial, serving for nearly five years at a salary ill comensurate with the duties imposed upon him by the needs of a rapidly grow- ing City, undertaking the devious routine prescribed by law in the matters pertaining to bond issues, street improvements, annex- ation proceedings and the multiferous concerns of ordinances and contracts for public work; AND E&S, L1r. Steele's private practice has now made such demand upon his time that he cannot longer serve in the office that he has so long filled; BE IT RESOLVED, by this Board of Trustees, assembled in open meeting this 23rd day of April, 1923; that,in losing the services of -Mr Steele this Board has lost a valued adviser and co-worker and the people of Lodi a servant worth far more to them than many times the sums paid him in the past. BE IT ALSO RESOLVED. that this resolution be spread in full la -Don the minutes of the meeting at which same is adopted. ---------0--------- the --------0--------- 'he foregoing Resolution was then adopted by the fol- lowing vote: - AYES: Trustees, Liettler,Eickok,Hqle,Spooner,Shattuck. N -3- 07 Trustees, None. ABSIIMT: Trustees, None. On motion of Trustee Hickok, Superintendent Henning was instructed to anply a coat of graphite and oil paint to the roof of the manici-oal baths.
