Resolved by the Hoard of Trustees of the City of Lodi: That the City Clerk be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to advertise for bids for material necessary to construct an electric transmission line from the termonation of the City's lines to the site of the Sewage Disposal Plant. Specifications and quantities of materials to be furnished will be suoplied by the Superintendent of Public utilities. ---------------0------------- President of the Board J.'Y.Shattuck announced that the driver of the fire truck, H. E. Ralls, had tendered him his verbal resignation, asking to be relieved May lst.,; on motion of Trustee Mettler, the position was offered to iI.R.Channel, -- he having applied for same some months previously. On motion of Trustee Hale, the above ordinance was ord- ered laid over for not less than five days. - On Notion of Trustee Spooner, seconded by Trustee Hale, the City E;ineer and Superintendent of Public utilities were authetized to install storm drains on :ftalnut Street, Crescent Avenue to Rose Street in preparation for the paving of the former thonroughfare. Trustee Mettler stated that in -raking the motion to accept the resignation of City Attorney G. M. Steele, he had desired to incorporate in the same, a resolution extending the thanks of the Board to Mr. Steele for his years of service, and that at this time he desired to submit the following resolution to the Board for their consideration and adoption:
