Trustee Hale introduced Resolution No. 395 and the same

RESOLuTION 170. 395
Resolved by the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi:
That bIr Glenn "test be appointed to the vacancy caused
by the resignation of City A-torney GI.Steele, said anpoi.nt-
mant to be erfactive from and after May lst, 19c3
Trustee Hickok authorized the Clerk to advertise for
-:aterial necessary to build a power transmission line to the
site of the sa-.,a?;a disposal plant by introducing Resolution
No 396 which c:as unanimously adopted.
?ES!=TION NO. 396.
Resolved by the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi:
That the City Clerk be, and he is hereby authorized and
directed to advertise for bids for material necessary to construct
an electric transmission line from the termonation of the City's
lines to the site of the Sewage Disposal Plant.
-Specifications and quantities of materials to be furnished
will be suoplied by the Superintendent of Public utilities.

President of the Board J.'Y.Shattuck announced that the
driver of the fire truck, H. E. Ralls, had tendered him his
verbal resignation, asking to be relieved May lst.,; on motion
of Trustee Mettler, the position was offered to iI.R.Channel,
-- he having applied for same some months previously.
In the matter of :� increase in salary allowed r.ars'ral
and Street Superintendent ^. Christesen, the following Ord-
inance was introduced: -

T'ne'Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi do ordain as
follows: -
T -at from and after t're a'igr_thcia, of June, 1923 the
salary and allowances made the City_`{arshal shall be as here-
in set forth, the same to be in fall for services: -
Por Salary as Marshal, the sum of ...... 150.00 * �*
Por Salary as Street Superintendent....,.. 125.00
As allowance for use of auto-aobile........ 50.00
This ordinance shall be published once in ",The Lodi
Ne^'s" and shall take eject and be in force as provided by
law.
On motion of Trustee Hale, the above ordinance was ord-
ered laid over for not less than five days.
- On Notion of Trustee Spooner, seconded by Trustee Hale,
the City Engineer and Superintendent of Public utilities were
authorized to install storm drains on :ftalnut Street, Crescent
Avenue to Rose Street in preparation for the paving of the
former thonroughfare.
Trustee Mettler stated that in -raking the motion to
accept the resignation of City Attorney G. M. Steele, he had
desired to incorporate in the same, a resolution extending
the thanks of the Board to Mr. Steele for his years of service,
and that at this time he desired to submit the following
resolution to the Board for their consideration and adoption:
