Pursuant to adjournmant ta'_<en from the re -alar meeting of Apr-
il 16th, th= Board of Trastees of the City of Lodi met in adjourn-
ed re-ul^.r session_ at 8 o'clock P.M. and on call of t e roll,
Trustees,~ele, ic'rok,
!rattler, Spooner and Shattuck were present.
The minutes of the regular meeting of April 16th :vers read and
approved
This being the date set for the reception of sealed proposals
for the contract for the improvement of _Hutchins-1alnut Streets
as undertaken under Resolution of Intention Do. 61 and it anpear-
ing that due publication and posting of notice thereof had been
had, the Board proceeded to publicly open and declare the'prop-
osals received; the proposal of Clark & lienery Construcjiion Co.
being the only bid received, they bidding as follows:-

Award was then made to Clark & Henery Construction Company by
the passage of Resolution of Awaard Nc. 394 by the following vote: -
AYES: Trustees, Spooner, ?°rattler, Hale, Hickok, Shattuck.
NOBS: Trustees, None. ABSENT: Trustees, ions.

:i=RcAS, the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi, did, in
open session, on the 23rd day of April,A.D.1923, publicly open
examine and declare all sealed proposals or bids for doing cert-
ain work in said City, under and in pursuance of the "Improv-
ement Act of 1911", the names of the streets and high.iays prop-
osed to be improved and the location and character of said work
and the district to be assessed therefore being described in
Resolution of Intention No. 61 , which Resolution is hereby
expressly referred to for further particulars,-
RBSCLYM, that the said Board of Trustees hereby rejects all
of said proposals or bids ex -,sot that next "herein mentioned,
and ?hereby awards the contract for doing said work and improv-
ement to the lo -,west responsible bidder, viz:- CL:LR? & H21FERY CON-
STRUCTION CCP NY at the prices named in its bid. The City Clerk
is hereby directed to post notices of this award conspicuously
for five days, on or near the chamber door of this Board of
Trustees and also publish said notice three times in "The Lodi
News", a tri -meekly newspaper published and circulated in said
City and hereby desig ated for -that purpose by said board.

given that serial bonds to represent unpaid-asses,�mnents and bear
interest at the rata of saven per cant per annum, well be issued
'--ere-ander in the r.:arner provided by the Improvrriu-nt Bond Act
of 1915, the last installment of which bonds shall mature nine
years from the 2:-d day of July next succeeding nine months from
their date.
Mr O.H.Wood pr=sented a petition simed b,; owners of prop-
erty on Central Avenue South: 7f the present termination of the
pavement thereon, asbin, that no action_ be taken twotd the
improvement of this portion of Central Avenue "until the usual
petition by the property owners is filed"
The application of Ada J. ?airchilds for :rater and sewer
service extension to the SW corner of :at 5, Lodi Barnhart
Tract, was referred to .r. J. A. Henning, it appearing that
the cost •,•ould be excessive in porrortion to the party served.
Ordinance No. 139, "An 0 rdinance Repealing Subdivision 3,
Section 2, of Ordinanceio. 38" was given final reading, passed
and ordered to print on motion of Trustee Mettler:
