Trustees, the City Clerk assumed the chair and administered
the oaths of office to the newly elected Trustees, Roach and
Spooner, stating that he had previously taken his oath of
office before a Notary Public. Nomirations f ---r President of
the Board were then opened, J:r J.-a.Shattuck placing the name
of Er W.A.S-Dooner before the Board, the nomination was sec-
onded by Trustee John 1-ettler Jr who also nnoved that the nomin-
ations be closed. The Clerk then put the question and none
dissenting, 1.r Spooner was declared to be elected President of
the Board for the ensuing two years. Ur Spooner then took the
chair and thanked the Board for their courtesey.
Informal bids for the carpentry --.-iork at the baths
were then opened; biLs 'tieing received from Mr B.E.Porter,
$135.00 and from Hieb Bros.$127.00. It being evident that the
last named party was the low bidder, he was a:,,;arded the cont-
ract by the passage of Resolution of A,:iard No, 453 by the fol-
lowing vote:

INGES: Trustees, None, ABSENT: Trustees, None.'
J. Strom appeared before the Board in the matter of
securing a place in San Joaquin County for use as a hog feed-
ing ground during the apthous fever quarrantine, he being
prohibited from hauling cit; Larbage to Buena Vista as formerly;
1'r. J.A.Henning stated that he had a suitable site near Clements,
and the matter was left temporarily to negociations between
the latter and Yr. Strom.
