I MY P.H.Toney as__ed that Harold Street be opened from Central Avenue to Garfield Street at a width of forty feet; he --:as informed that 'his matter would necessarily have to be taken up under street opening proceedings. unless Messrs Harmon and Schmidt would offer their lands -;;hich block the street. Ted Hinzman and J.B.Gundert protested against the laciTig of se"Yet"pipe and street refuse on the City's lot in ,he Schroeder Tract; on motion of Trustee Spooner, this matter .as referred to the Conn.ittee on Public Uti ities. Corm unications Applications for the position of fire truck driver Brom rom Jack Baker were I and J.C.Brier, also for a position at the se age farm from E.P.Schenkenberger. 11r. C. Lee Peck presented a favorable progress report on his activities at the 'sewage dis-.,:osal plant. The League of California Municipalities asked the Board to adopt a resolution favoringi,tiative petition for . an ini­ an amendment -to the state constitution providing for the div- ision of motor vehicle fees and gasoline tax between the state counties and rurarici-alities and in accordance with this request, Trustee Hale moved the adoi?t-ion of Resolution No. 452, and the same was passed and adopted by the following vote: - AYES: Trustees Hale' Hickok Mettler Spooner, Shattuck N'OES: Trustees N ' ABSENT: trustees, None, : None, ORDINANCE No, 146 "AN ORDIMCE REPEALING ORDINANC& 171o,l4V,J'H_ICH WAS APPROVED NOVE13M 5th1923 AIM IN LIEU THERR- OF , PROVIDING REGULATIONS 7CP, FIXTJIG RATES AND REGULATIONS F(M ELEC-RIC LIGHT & POWER" having been introduced on April 7th. 192A- was ieuroduced for passage on motion of Truste'e Fiale and finally passed, adopted and ordered printed by the following vote -- AYES; Trustees, Spooner,Kettler Hale Hickok, Shattuck. N 0--, S Trustees, 11.6ne, ABS211T,Trustees, None. -Lr, the matter of the options in equipment and finish of the new fire truck, the Board decided on solid tires, wood artillery wheels, red paint, worm drive and the number '3". Trustee Spooner stated that he had been notified by the County Hij�;.,.-qDepartment that the Terminous Road storm drain was awga leaking. No action taken, as water in canal was deemed too High to make repairs feasible at this time. This being the first meeting of the Board since the General Lu-nici-nal Election of April 14th.,192d the Board roceeded to canvass the votes received and af-er doing so, trustee Lettler introduced Resolution No. 451 - 57'
