The Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi convened in x
regular sessio,president,G.E.Lwmrence.presiding and the following
other members of the Board being present: J.M.Blodgett,F.O_Hale,
C.A.Rich a:;d L.VillinZer.
The Ifinutes of the Previous meeting were read and approved.
The Reports of the Clerk and Treasurer for the Quarter
ending *March 31,1910,*,,iere read,accepted and ordered filed.
The Board then proceeded to open and canvass the Returns
of the General Municipal Election held in the City of Lodi on April
1ith.,191OThe following resolution was then read and introduced:
RESCLUTION
13THEREAS,on the Eleventh day of Aprll,1910,a General b.funicipal
Election was held in the City of Lodi,as authorized by Section 852
Chapter VII of "An Act to Provide for the Organization,Incorporation
and Government of MuniciapI Corporations" approved March 13th. 1883;
and,
'IHEREAS,the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi have con-
vened in regular session in the City Hall of the City of Lodi,said
hall beino, the usual place of meeting of said 3oard,on the lBth.day
of April,1910,for the purpose of canvassing the returns of said
election;
Now,therefore,on canvass of said returns,the said Board
of Trustees of the City of Lodi do declare the purposes and result
of said election to be as follows:
That there was but one election Precinct,and the whole number
of ballots cast was Three Hundred and Eighty-six;
That the propositions voted upon were the election of Three
Members of the Board of Trustees,a Clerk,a Treasurer,a Marshal,and
the proposition,"Shall each of the Trustees of the City of Lodi have
a salary of Two Hundred and Forty Dollars per year,payable quarterly'? -
That John M.3lodgett received for Member of the Board of Trust-
ees Three H*undred and Twenty-nine votes;
That Frank O.Hale received for Member of the Board of Trustees
Three Hundred and Thirty-seven votes;
That George E.Lawrence received for Itember of the Board of
Trustees Three Hundred and Tvienty-one motes;

one vote;
That F.J.3eaty received for ?:fember of the Board of Trustees one
vote;
That D.D.Smith received for Member tiff of the Board of Trustees

That John H..+furphy received for City Marshal One Hundred and
Twenty—nine votes;
That Two Hundred and Thirty—six votes were cast for and in
favor of the proposition,"Shall each of the Trustees of the City of
Lodi have a salary of Tiro Hundred and Forty Dollars per year,payable
quarterly?";
That One Hundred and Seven votes were cast against the propos—
ition,"Shall each of the Trustees of the City of Lodi have a salary
of Two Hundred and Forty Dollars per year,payable quarterly?";
7re,therefore,as Trustees of the Cite of Lodi,declare that
John M. Blodgett, Frank O.Fale and George B.Lawrence were duly elected
Ffembers of the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi,they having
received the highest nu^lber of votes for said offices; that John
U.Lic,fahon was duly elected Clerk of the City of Lodi,he having
received the highest nuri-ber of votes for that office; that William
H.Lorenz was duly elected Treasurer of the City of Lodi,he having
received the of votes for '.hat office; that Hannibal

3.Coleman was duly elected :•Marshal of the City of Lodi,he having
received the hi;:lest nunber of votes for that office; that the
proposition,°Shall each of the Trustees of the City of Lodi have
a salary of Two Hundred and Forty Dollars per year,payable atlarterly?))
,.;as duly carried and adopted,a majority of all the votes cast having
bean cast for alld in favor of such proposition.

It was re-gularly moved and seconded that the foregoinS resolut-
ion be adopted as r'ead,wilich Notion was carried by the following,
vote:
-, Ayes: J.M Blodgett, F. 0. Hale,G.3.La-;rence,0.A.Rich and L.Villinger.
Noes: done.
Trustees -elect J...S.Blod_Zett,F.O.Hale am-. G.E.Lawrence and
Marshal -elect H.3.Coleman took the Datil of Office,the oath being
administered by the City Cler.
Trustee G.E.Lairrence was placed in nomination for the
office of President of the Board by Trustee C.A.Rich and unanimously
elected.
The Bond of H.3.Coleman as City Marshal in the sur. of
Two Thousand Dollars,with the following sureties in the sum of One
Thousand Dollars each was approved and accepted:J.A.Graham,Gottlieb
Dcerin.7,S.A.Shinn and W.H.Thompson.
The Bond of J.M.1 evi.ahon as City Clerk in the stuh of One
j Thousand Dollars,with the followin sureties in the sum of One
J Thousand Dollars each,was approved and accented: Adolph Bauer and
C.G.GuZgolz.
The representatives of the Stockton :flail bade a proposition
that for $20,3.00 they mould give the City of Lodi a full page write
up in the Special Edition of the Mail to be issued during the first
week in 3 ay,and 2000 copies of the paper,or for $$,100.00 their would
give a half page '.trite up and LOGO copies of the paper. The natter
