HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 03-29-1909Public Hall, Lodi, California, Mar. 29, 1909 The Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi convened in adjourned regular session, President Geo E. Lawrence presiding and the following other members of the Board being present: C. A. Rich and L. Villinger. Absent: J. M. Blodgett, & F. O. Hale. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. The following applications for Building Permits were read and granted: Beckman, Welsh, & Thompson Co., Bank on St. of Lot 4, Block 2 Lighthouse & McDermott, Addition to Moving Picture Gallery The following Resolution was then read and upon motion regularly made and seconded the Resolution was adopted by the following vote: Ayes; Rich, Villinger, and Lawrence. Resolution: Whereas, the State Board of Health has made arrangements with the Cutter Laboratory of Berkley, whereby municipalities are to be supplied with anti -toxin at cost for the use of indigents in cases of epidemics and whereas, while our City is free from epidemics yet we believe in being prepared for any emergency, therefore, be it resolved: that the Board of Health of the City of Lodi be and they are hereby authorized to take such steps as may be necessary for the procuring of anti -toxin in such quantities as may in their judgment be required; such anti -toxin to be dispensed free to indigents only, and under direction of a regularly licensed physician. Whereupon the foregoing resolution was adopted by the affirmative votes of Trustees Lawrence, Rich and Villinger, and duly signed and approved by President G. E. Lawrence and attested by the Clerk. Trustee Blodgett arrived. No further business coming before the Board, the Board then adjourned. Attest: J. M. McMahon City Clerk 193
