March 20-1922.
The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of
Lodi was called to order by the President at 5 o'clock P.M. on
the date above written and on call of the roll, Trustees Cross,
Rale, Hickok and Montgomery were present; Trustee Rich absent.
The minutes of the adjourned meeting -of Lurch 13th were read
and approved.
Trustee ::Iontgomery then left the President's chair, Trustee
Rale presiding, and introduced Resolutions No. 234 and 235; Res-
olution No. 234, a resolution calling upon the Board of Supervis-
ors to establish a county health department was then passed by the
following vote:
AY'S: Trustees, I:ontgomery, Crose, Hale, Hickok.
NOES: Trustees, None. ABS ITTI Trustee, Rich.
Resolution No. 235, a resolution directing the Clerk to place
on the ballot at the next election the question,"Shall each member
of the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi receive a salary of
X50.00 per month?" was passed and adopted by the following vote: -
AYE'S: Trustees, Montgomery, Crose, :sale, Hickok.
iTOES: Trustees, hone. ABSENT: Trustee, Rich.
Y petition -ryas then received signed by twenty per cent of the
registered voters of the aanguinetti and Burr Additions praying that
these lands be made part of the City of Lodi and share in the pay-
ments for bonded indebitedness heretofore incurred, addition to be
called "NORTH:0" ST ADDITION" as more fully set forth in the said
petition now on file in the ogfice if the City'Clerk. On motion
of Trustee Montgomery, the petition was referred to the Clerk for
verification of signatures.
Petitions asking the improvement of Eden, .lora and Stockton
Streets signed by more than 5b!,a of the fronting property owners
were received and on motion of Trustee ilontgomery, the Engineer
was directed to pre,)are plans and specifications.
Trustee LIontgomery, having urgent business elsewhere, was
