the alley running east and west through the block bounded by gest
Elm Street, Lee Airenue, West Pine Street and Hutchins Street, submit-
ted by L. _,. BARZELLOTTI, City Engineer, be, and the sa^..e are hereby
adopted.
The foregoing resolution No. 39 was upon motion of Trustee
Keeney, seconded by Trustee 'Montgomery, adopted by the following
vote:

Noes: idone.
Absent:. None.
Ben Looser asked the Board to provide a suitable piece of
land for a baseball ground and recreation park. He was informed the
expense would be too great to be considered at this time.
TJPon motion of Trustee Montgomery, seconded by Trustee Cruse,
the Board extended a vote of thanks to theo£ore Davis for his kind-
ness in :seeping the City's flags in repair without charge.
0. H. gillette appeared before the Board and stated that
police protection should be improved in the section in which he lives
on North Sacramento street, stating the fruit sheds are a loafing
place for tramps. The matter was referred to the Public iLorals and
Safety Committee.
The resignation of Trustee E. :1. Keeney was on motion reg-
ularly made and seconded, accepted, and upon adoption of the motion
P:"r, keeney was assured that it was wita sincere regrets that he was
being relieved of his official duties as a member of the Board of
Trustees and that the friendship and best wishes of all the city
officials would go with him to his new place of endeavor.
Miscellaneous bills amounting to $2814.10 were allowed
and ordered paid.
The Board upon *potion regularly made, seconded and car-
ried adjourned to meet again at 8 o'clock P.L"., Monday. '',larch 24,1919.
